Beautifully and Wonderfully Made

Someone commented that i am not pretty at all.... hahaha... who is asking you anyway? To the world, I may not be the prettiest person but in the eyes of God, I am. It is an insult to say I am not because I am a creation of God.

Thank you God for creating me as I am. :-)

How Boyish or Girlish Are You?

You Are 20% Boyish and 80% Girlish

Even if you're not a girl, you're very feminine.

You're in touch with your feelings, and your heart rules you.

A bit of a emotional roller coaster, one moment you're up and the next you're down.

But no matter what, you try to be as cute and perky as possible.

Received a sms today from a church member saying that one of our members had passed away. It came as a shock! He was only 23 year-old. Two weeks ago, he met with an accident and was admitted to the hospital. Thot that he'd recovered. I've known him for almost 8 years. He was cool and funny. He was our church pianist. A very talented young man.

Funny how life is. You never know when you will die. There are so many things that are happening in the world, natural disasters, war, misunderstanding, hatred etc. What has the world become? Is it going to be the end of the world?

Hearing the death of a friend then my granduncle admitted to hospital, this has created such great fear in me. Life is so fragile and unpredictable. My aunt always says enjoy life while you can. You never know when you will die. This has got me thinking... what am I doing with my life? What is my purpose of life? Am I living a life worthy of God? Am I doing what I am called to do? Why am I wasting my life away? If I were to die today, will I go to heaven? Have I live a life according to God's purpose? Would I be able to say like what Paul said... "I've fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Tim 4:7

Something to ponder

Tak Malu

Once you reach womanhood (here means your age no longer begins with "2"), there is nothing that you wouldn't dare to do. I agree with that. I memang tak malu. Had dept meeting last Friday and told my colleagues I wanted a birthday cake. It's not me to make such request. I have no idea what made me do that. I got the cake.... malu-nya!

Celebrated my birthday today. Woke up today feeling down. Not because I am a year older. This month is the busiest month at work. First thing that came to my mind this morning was I had a lot of work that needed to be completed by end of the week and it's already Tuesday.

Friends came and wished me happy birthday. I should be happy with so many friends remembering my birthday. The truth is I wasn't excited neither was I happy....

Surprises came in the late morning.

I received a bouquet of flowers from my family. I had to collect the flowers from the guard house. So shy! So many people were staring at me as I was walking back to my office with a big bouquet of flowers.

Saw gifts that were left on my table by colleagues and friends. Was truly touched by their thoughtfulness. I enjoyed most was the evening at a friend's place. It was supposed to be a quiet casual visit. CY was craving for cake and wanted to see WL for some matters. I was invited so Cow Yuan n I headed to Wai Ling's place after dinner. On our way, we bought some food and drink (cheese cake, rambutan stuffed with pineapple, soda). We had this crazy idea... hey why not call CQ and SL to join us. We did that. CQ came. hehehee... had a small party at WL's place at 10:00 pm. The small gathering was good. I had a good time. THANK YOU!

God has placed many people in my life. These people have blessed me in many ways. Just sharing some....

Bee Hong...
someone that I knew since I was a baby. We were in the same class from Primary I till Form 3. We went to college together and were roommates. We accepted Christ when we attended a camp together in Form 3. After the camp, I saw a tremendous change in my best friend's life. From a fierce and spoilt brat into a loving, sweet, caring and very much liked by everyone. Awesome what God can do to a person! She has been a blessing in my life!

Sui Sin...
A friend that shares the love of God and knows that pain that I've gone thru...

I didn't know her well until we were in Form 3 (at Mr. Young's tuition class). In Form 5, I sat next to her during Accounts lesson. I've never liked our accounts' teacher, who was our Principal! Ms. Penguin... that's what I called her! Notty me! During her lesson, we used to do our add maths homework, passing notes or playing behind her back... hahahha... one day we were caught by the Principal. Sui Sin had her hand up and was about to hit my head, out of the blue the Principal turned and saw her hand up in the air. hahaha... it was pretty funny! A head prefect playing and not paying attention in class. I was the culprit. I started it.

A friend that I know that will never let me down. Once I had a party and she was the only one that turned up for the party. Thanks Jos for being there! I will always remember that!

Emily Koh...
A Godly person... In Form 2, our geography teacher gave us a test which none of us were prepared. She handed an empty sheet while the rest of us cheated. I felt guilty and decided to hand in an empty paper as well. Thanks Yean Lei for showing me what it means to be honest.

My accountable friend who believes in me... Thanks Doris!

Peck Yan...
A friend that shows me that with God, nothing is impossible!

Someone who is special and rare...

Kong Lai Ngarn...
A friend that believes in me and shares the Word of God with me....

Someone that encourages me to explore and be adventurous...

A friend that shows me what true friendship is...

She Boon Yoke...
My best working partner in TARC!

Yeo Poh Ling...
Someone who makes me understand... what it means by "I am who I am"

Liaw Fenn Yenn...
Someone that inspires me to think further...

Ching Yi...
Someone that inspires me to be a Prayer Warrior!

Wai Ling...
A colleague and a friend... who listens to my groaning and whining at work. A friend that shows me what it means to be a friend. Thank you for opening your place when I needed a time of solitude....

Ee Sarn...
Thank you for your encouragement, support and believing that I can do it!

A colleague and friend that makes me see myself differently.... a positive side of me.

First half of the year is almost gone. Wah.... so fast. The things that I have done in the past 6 months: -
  1. Joined Fitness First (btw i've cancel my membership - lazy lor, wasting money cos hardly go)
  2. Surprise Birthday Party for aunt (1 Feb)
  3. Bee Hong's wedding in Sabah (5 Feb)
  4. VU Alumni Dinner (19 Feb)

Search me, oh God
Reveal my heart
Expose my sin that it may be confessed
Search me, oh God
Unveil each thought
And leave no hidden motive unaddressed

Uncover every action burn in pride
Show me the worldly ways I still embrace
May every anxious thought be brought to light
And each unspoken fear with faith replaced

Search me, oh God
Observe my life
Bring to my mind each idle word I speak
Search me, oh God
Test my resolve
And alert me where You find it weak

Reveal all weakened walls within my soul
Show me potential dangers unforeseen
Then clothe my conscience with Your holiness
Help me to guard it well and keep it clean

Search me, oh God
That I may walk in peace
Filled with the joy of knowing all is well
My heart surrendered and my conscience clean
So great a joy my tongue can scarcely tell
Oh what a joy to know that is well

Mushrooms growing in human's head

Have you seen mushrooms growing in human's head? Well, you would see one if you were in SYUC on Sunday, 12/12 at 2 pm - 5 pm. One was sitting in the SYUC souvenir shop. Mushroom one by one popping out from my head. hahahhaa...

I was so bored. There wasn't anything to do in the shop. I needed to have the shop open because of the university college open day. I had two customers that bought something from the shop. They are SYUC staff. As for visitors, none came in. How disappointing! Staff that showed them around could have just brought them in and have a look.

In the evening, went to Kuchai Lama for dinner with friends. I've been telling friends about the "tin kai" porridge and finally after a long wait, we managed to find time to go. We had "tin kai" porridge, curry fish, crabs (sticky & sweet, hehehehe... don't know what it's called. That was how I ordered it!), fried pan mee (so so only), tong fan, asam laksa and drinks. Yummm....

Was tired that I went to bed at 9:15 pm. I was so dead I didn't even hear my aunt & cousins came back and probably opened my room door.

Long Night...

Took the 6.25 pm train from Segamat to KL on Sunday. As usual, the train is always late. The train arrived at 6:50 pm. Talking about bad luck, it was definitely not my day. Not only was the train late, it broke down 20 minutes later, just as we were about to reach the Gemas station. It took the mechanic an hour to fix whatever the problem was. When we reached the Rembau station, we had to wait for about 20 mins to half an hour for another train coming from the North. By the time I reached KL Sentral, it was 11.30 pm. 4 1/2 hours in the train, can you image that!!!! I was dead tired by the time I reached KL.

I had to rush to catch the last LRT when I reached KL Sentral. The counter was closed hence I had to buy the ticket from the machine. That's when you wish you have a touch and go card! Luck was definitely running low that day. I had less than 5 minutes to get the ticket and the queue was long. When it was my turn to get the ticket, I don't know whether it was me not thinking clearly as I was in such a panicky stake or was it just not my day, the machine didn't want to accept my money. I went to another machine and started putting in the coin as time was running out. All the machines wouldn't take in note hence I had to put in coins. As I was to put in my last 10 cents coin, the machine didn't want to accept it and coins started running down as if I won a jackpot! I panic like mad as I could hear the train coming. Quickly putting in the coins and praying hard that this time the machine would accept all the coins! Bingo! It did.

I ran like a mad woman carrying a paperbag in each hand and a knapsack on my back with my jeans half way down my butt showing off my white pantie. Hahahaha.. Luckily my t-shirt was long enough to cover everything. When I got into the train, I had to put up my jeans right in front of two guys before I could sit down. How embarrassing!

After this, I don't think I will take anymore evening train.

I'll be moving to the back of the office near my boss' room. Sigh! After that, I bet no one will visit ME. Who wants to come over my place when it is so near to the boss' room? No more gossiping, no more giggling and most of all, no more screaming across the room.

Tiring Day

Today I went to work full of frustration and marked my gloom index as 8 ( 1 as the lowest and 10 as the highest). You may be wondering what am I frustrated with? I am frustrated with my work and myself (the way I behave).

Today I made arrangement with Terence from Thumbprint to take some photos for our Student Service Department Guide 2005 booklet. We took the whole morning to do thaeThe shootings went well. We managed to take all the shoots that we needed for the booklet. I have fun doing it. After the photography session, my gloom index became 3.

Loved Ones

Last Saturday my granduncle passed away. I remember him as a round bubbly granduncle. Every evening, he would come over to my grandparents’ place in his motorbike and spent the evening with my grandparents. Granduncle’s death reminded me of my grandparents. I miss them and wish that they were still around. Dad told me when he was a kid granduncle would take him fishing. Now, my dad takes his son fishing.

Seeing loved ones leave one after another makes me realize at times we take people around us for granted. How many times have we said “When I have the time or free, I will go visit or to spend time with who and who.” When are we really free?

On my way home today, I had good time with Uncle Ronnie. He is always teasing me. Once a friend asked, why I responded in a “child like” way instead of an “adult” when he teases me? His teasings mean no harm. Sometimes it can be pretty frustrating but it’s okay. This is how he shows his love to us and how we relate to each other. He’s the best and most interesting uncle I’ve ever had.

My Darling sister, Ju-Li

I am lazy because you are hardworking.... hahahaha...

Sunday, November 21, 2004

This morning a phone call woke me. It was only quarter to 9 and was surprised anyone would call so early. We hardly have phone call this early. It was aunty lina calling to inform us that my granduncle has passed away. Dad told me he might not live for long but I didn't expect it to be so soon.

After a long break, I find it difficult to get back to work. I am wondering... Is it be because of the long break, I have not geared myself back to work or can it be something else such as my interest of work has shifted? It is not like me at all to put off work or do things at the eleventh hour.

Getting very lazy these days.... lazy to think... notty girl!!!

My Grandmother

Saw my grandmother today. She just got back from an overseas trip! She was away for 3 or 4 months! Wow! She looks so happy and young! Mind you, she is 79 year-old this year and she looks like a 50 year-old lady. Thank you God for watching over her and blessing her with good health and youthful look!

Spritually Filled

Going home is a time where I find myself and God. I'm glad that when I am back in Segamat, there is someone that I can talk to especially about my spiritual life. The past few weeks, I was struggling with what it meant to be a christian? As a Christian, is it wrong to be angry? What should one do when he/she is angry?

Spending with Lai Ngarn, my church pastor's wife has always been very encouraging and meaningful. She is like angel that God sends to watch over me.... guiding me and encouraging me. She is always feeding me with God's words.

Was sharing with her what I was going through the past weeks and my plan for next year. Sharing with her makes me see things more clearly.

Thank you God for sending someone to watch over me.

My struggles...

I've never been so angry till my heart hurts! It's like a knife piercing into your heart! It hurt so much till I couldn't breathe. Is God teaching me something here? I am very bad voicing out my feelings. Anyone may say or accuse me and I won't say anything nor defend myself. Probably God is teaching me to voice out... something that I need to learn.

There is no place like home. Got back from PJ on Wed evening. Mum decided to cook nasi lemak the next day and my sister wanted to bake. I’ve been craving for cake for the past 2 weeks. Isn’t being home awesome! Any craving can be satisfied at home.

Haven’t done much since I got home. Went out with frens on Thursday nite and on Friday, I went to Steven & Lai Ngarn’s place for dinner. It was Steven’s birthday and the church decided to give him a surprise party. It was good to catch up with the youth. I’ve not seen them for more than a month.

To be continued… nephew is calling. No one is at home today and I’ve to take care of my baby nephew.

You guys are awesome! It’s not easy being a mother… taking care of a baby isn’t easy. Salute you guys!!! I tak boleh tahan! No time to do my personal things at all.

The Brick

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighbourhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something.

As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door!

He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown.

The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting, "What was that all about and who are you?

Just what the heck are you doing? That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?"

The young boy was apologetic. "Please, mister...please , I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do," He pleaded. "I threw the brick because no one else would stop..." With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car. "It's my brother," he said. "He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up."

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, "Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me."

Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat.

He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out a linen handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay..

"Thank you and may God bless you," the grateful child told the stranger.

Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home.

It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door.

He kept the dent there to remind him of this message "Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!"

God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice to listen or not.

Thought for the Day: If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.

He sends you flowers every spring. He sends you a sunrise every morning.

Face it, friend - He is crazy about you! Send this to every "beautiful person" you wish to bless.

God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

Never forget

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand:

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone:

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?" The other friend replied "When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away but, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Do not value the things you have in your life. But value the people you have in your life!

To all my friends out there...

Hugs can tell you
you're someone very special.

Hugs can make you smile
just when you need it most.

Hugs can show you
someone's listening and cares a lot too.

Hugs can let you know
there's someone you can always count on.

Sending you a little hug today
just to let you know I appreciate you!

In the office on Saturday 6/11

I spent the whole morning cleaning my table. My table was in a mess. I had papers and files everywhere.... urg, the place was a mess. How embarrassing! If dad were here, he would definately say my place looked like a 'kau tow'. That's why he said about my room! hahahaha...

The past one month, I was busy with work and didn't have the time to do any filing (what a lame excuse!). How busy can I be? The truth is I am lazy. I haven't come up with a proper filing system yet since I join Sunway. Will have start that soon or work will start to pile up. These days, too lazy to think. :P

Get Rid of Bitterness

Bitterness imprisons life; love releases it.
Bitterness paralyzes life; love empowers it.
Bitterness sickens life; love heals it.
Bitterness blinds life; love anoints its eyes.
– Henry Emerson Fosdick

God’s Word: “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and
anger, brawling and slander, along with every
form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one
another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God
forgave you.”
– Ephesians 4:31-32

A Lesson for Every Salaried Employee

A butcher watching over his shop is really surprised when he sees a dog coming inside the shop. He shoos him away. But later, the dog is back again. So, he goes over to the dog and notices it has a note in its mouth. He takes the note and it reads "Can I have 12 sausages and a leg of lamb, please". The dog has money in its mouth, as well. The butcher looks inside and, lo and behold, there is a ten dollar note there. So he takes the money and puts the sausages and lamb in a bag, placing it in the dog's mouth.

The butcher is so impressed, and since it's about closing time, he decides to shut the shop and follow the dog. So off he goes. The dog is walking down the street, when it comes to a level crossing, the dog puts down the bag, jumps up and presses the button. Then it waits patiently, bag in mouth, for the lights to turn. They do, and it walks across the road, with the butcher following him all the way. The dog then comes to a bus stop, and starts looking at the timetable. The butcher is in awe as the dog stops a bus by pulling its left leg up and gets in it.

The butcher follows the dog into the bus. The dog then shows a ticket which is tied to its belt to the bus conductor. The butcher is nearly fainting at this sight, so are the other passengers in the bus. The dog then sits near the driver's seat looking outside waiting for the bus stop to come. As soon as the stop is in sight, the dog stands and wags its tail to inform the conductor. Then, without waiting for the bus to stop completely, it jumps out of the bus and runs to a house very close to the stop. It opens the big iron gate and rushes inside towards the door. As it approaches the wooden door, the dog suddenly changes its mind and heads towards the garden.

It goes to the window, and beats its head against it several times, walks back, jumps off, and waits at the door. The butcher watches as a big guy opens the door, and starts abusing the dog, kicking him and punching him, and swearing at him. The butcher surprised with this, runs up, and stops the guy. "What in heaven's name are you doing? The dog is a genius. He could be on TV, for the life of me!", to which
the guy responds: "You call this clever? This is the second time this week that this stupid dog's forgotten his key."

Moral of the story .....

You may continue to exceed onlookers' expectations but shall always fall short of the bosses' expectations.

What do you think of that? Agree?

What are your priorities in life?

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life."

"The golf balls are the important things--your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions--things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full."

"The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car."

"The sand is everything else-the small stuff."

"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you."

"Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal."

"Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

My day....

Today had tim sam with kkmm, aunty lina and Elaine before we went to ta che's apartment. Aiyah... the management has not repaired the defects. I've oledy complaint so many times and they have not done anything. Sigh... what a lousy service! Not going to pay the monthly maintenance fee until they repair the defects. It's already a year and nothing is done.

Went to buy my train ticket back to Segamat. At first, bought the ticket dated 6/11 (Sat) and later went back and changed to 10/11 (Wed). The change is due to work and also to save my leaves for end of the year. Don't think it's right to take off when I've not finished with my work. Feel bad. :P

By doing that, I won't be able to go for the Youth Retreat in A'Famosa which is on 7/11 to 9/11. The youths will definately be disappointed. No matter what, work comes first. Though I may want to serve God, I still think I need to have good testimony at work. Not that I've been showing any at work. I'd have to tell the youths that I won't be able to join them. "Yeat Cheong Foon Hei, Yeat Cheong Hoong".

Had tea at One Utama then went to Jusco to buy some food for steamboat in the evening. Went swimming with Ning before dinner. Managed to swim 5 1/2 laps before it started raining heavily. :( Wow, haven't swum for a long time.... the last time I swam was with Doris and Celina during our summer holiday... that must have been 7 or 8 year ago.

Bought a pair of sandals in One Utama. Saw a pair of heels that I like but didn't have my size. Yesterday went shopping with Ee Sarn, same thing. Every pair of shoes that I'd like to buy didn't have my size. :(

Wai Leng's wedding

Attended Wai Leng's wedding today. First time being "chi mui". Kind of fun especiallly teasing the bridegroom. Before entering into the bride's house, he would have to go thru some tests. Asked him to finish a bunch of banana (all together there were 9) then to finish a glass of red bean soup (later found out from Wai Leng, he doesn't like red bean soup)hehehehe...

Before entering the bride's room, asked him to tell Wai Leng he loves her in 5 different language. hehehehe... it was pretty funny the way he expressed his love to her. Wai Ling's mum was very protective. She told us not to give him a hard time. The traffic was very heavy today. It took us an hour to reach the groom's place.

I have a wonderful time and am glad that I decided to go over to Wai Leng's place in the morning instead of going back to Segamat. :P

Congratulations to Wai Leng and Tek Wah!

Car accident

Today some silly students knocked my car. So damn suay man!!!! I also damn stupid not getting any money from them. Believing them not having any money. Students that can afford to study in Taylor's College, how can I be so stupid believing them having no money! Only rich kids study there!

My poor car... sigh! It's only 1 year old.... boo hoo hoo! Sad like anything!

Hm... working in SSD will make you fat. Too much food. For the past 8 months in SSD, we had more than 10 times of tea session with lots and lots of food. Last Monday, we went to Chilli's, yesterday to Telok Gong and today we had a tea session. Eat and eat and eat. This afternoon, we wanted to go to Deli for lunch but the food was a bit pricey so we ended up in Medan.

Changes in Segamat

Wah... what's happening in Segamat ah? Is KFC's business not good because of Merry Brown? Is that why KFC decided to renovate the place? Wah... Merry Brown sure happy like mad cos for a month without competitor. Wow! So many things happening in Segamat. Why things only happen when I'm not there?

Heard that this Papa Grill and Mama Grill (something like that) restaurant has a branch in Segamat. Hm.... not bad... Segamat ain't that small and boring now.

Ms Winny, no need to eat KFC lah. Tahan for a month lor. When KFC reopens then go eat. It will taste better. :)

Will be going home for a week plus next month (6/11 - 16/11). Can't wait to do that. Missing home like mad... especially mum's cooking, dad's fresh yummy fish, sotong and crabs! When I think of all these mouth watering food.... cannot tahan! Need to hold a bowl below my chin... saliva like running tap water, hehehehehehe...

Most of all can't wait to see my baby nephew, Samuel.

Telok Gong

Had dinner with colleagues (Wai Ling, Adelene, Ee Sarn & Kong) at Telok Gong today. On the way theyre was quite jammed. Adelene and Wai Ling drove there and Ee Sanr and myself were in Kong's car. Adelene called Ee Sarn about 10 times on the way there. The traffic was heavy. We were hungry and pretty impatient. :)

We had crabs (sweet & sour and "kam heong"), vege, fried lala mee hoon, tauhu (tasteless)and friend sotong (special request from Ee Sarn). The food was okay. Crabs were not that fresh. Anyway food isn't that important. To me, it's the the company that we have that's important. Kong's such a entertainer. You'll never get bored with him just tired cos he makes you laugh so much.

Where are you?

What happpen to the person that I used to know? The person that bosses people around and has never bothered with what people think or say about her. Where are you? Lost in the scary and unknown world!?! Don't hide too long! Come out from your shell or you will not last long!

Chilli's in 1 Utama

Today my colleagues and I went to Chilli's for dinner. The service and food were disappointing. The waiter took about 1/2 to take our orders. When they served us the drinks, we had to tell them 3 times before they served all the drinks. Some of our food came after 1 1/2 hours. I cancelled my order cos by the time, I was already full. I had 3 glasses of mango juice, some chips and nibble some of my colleagues' food. How disappointing!

Disasterous Day

Sign... was hoping that everything would go smoothly today. I've got most of the things done for the Saturday's event except for the presentation and music. Today we were supposed to have a rehearsal and ended up not having due to some technical problem. Was so upset (not at anyone, just myself) I cried. I just wish things would be more perfect. Everything to run smoothly... INCLUDING the rehearsal. I overlooked at certain things. If only I could be more detailed and not so slacked in certain things, maybe the rehearsal would be better. :-(

Puffy eyes, stuffy nose & throbbing head

Today went to work with puffy eyes, blocked nose and head that weight a tonne! My sinus is getting worst or could it be due to the stress I'm having... can't help it. The cermeony is 2 days away. Of course, stress lah! Elder sister says I don't know what stress is! Hm... of course I do. Sleepless nite and tonnes and tonnes of endless work..... okay, probably my work isn't as stressful as what my sis is doing.

I've already "kau tim" everything for the Saturday's event... just a bit kan cheong with the emceeing part. Can you imaging being an emcee in front of 500 people. Me?!? Urg! I will faint! I've been asked to be emcee after joining SYUC for two months. Have been trying to get out of it but failed. Only managed to persuade my boss that I'd be co-emceeing. Sigh... until yesterday I was still trying to get out of it.

I wonder in this world, we can actually have a nose transplant... my naughty nose is giving me headache all the time. It's slowing me down in my work. I can hardly think. My eyes look like gold-fish eyes and I can hardly keep them open. It's like as if my eye lashes weight a tonne each. Driving to work every morning is pretty difficult when I can hardly keep my eyes open.

Wonderful Day

Wednesday, it's badminton nite. Haven't played badminton for more than a month. Today, I had a great time playing with kkmm, Lina and Elaine. We played double. Haven't been exercising for so long, it's amazing I still have the stamina to play.

Thought that I would be very stressed at work with the event just 3 days away. Well, no stress at all! Thank you God! It's wonderful when you know that in all things that you do, God is there and will ensure everything goes well. :)

Sea Fishing

After moving up to KL, what I miss most is going sea fishing and farming with my dad. My dad goes fishing every weekend in Penyabung. It's a small fishing village near Endau. My youngest sister has been going fishing with him for the past few weeks. She has been telling me the number of fish that she caught and the fun that she had... hm, that makes me missing sea fishing even more.

I was telling my boss how much I miss going fishing with dad and my sister has taken over my place at home. Fishing has been something that I do with my dad.. sort of my "special" quality time with my dad. A question was posted to me, "Am I jealous?" Hehehehe... a bit lor...

Sea fishing is fun. Imagine yourself right in the middle of the sea, away from the hustle and bustle... a place where you can reflect and have some peace and enjoying the beautiful creation of God. During the night, laying on the deck looking up the sky where thousands and millions of stars shining brightly and listening the wave…other than that enjoying the beautiful sun set and sun rise. Wow! The feeling... it is beyond words!

Life in KL

The day I recieved a call from Sunway College offering me a position was the happiest day after months and years of whining that I wanted to get out of Segamat... to start a new life in Kuala Lumpur... a place with full of life and excitement. KL here I come.....

Working in Sunway College, now known as Sunway University College (SYUC) has always been my dream. A decision that I made when I was a student in SYUC. Of course at that time, I wanted to work in the Marketing Department... working in Student Services Department isn’t that bad. Colleagues are pretty cool. You will never get bored with them!

8 months in KL now and life is never the same anymore. The people I got to know, work with and hang out with... interesting! There are times that I wish I am still back in Segamat where the comfort is. I miss the times that I have with my parents, colleagues in TARC and church members especially the youth. I even miss teaching Smart Reader (urg... how could I? All the complains that I made when I was teaching... of course the money was good!).

KL isn't as great as I imagined it to be. Life isn't that exciting. Hanging out with friends in the evening or doing exciting things.... nay... it's nothing like that at all. KL is a place where you will get white hair, stress and getting fat with all the food here. Nothing exciting at all. No farming, hunting and fishing trip... how boring.

What makes me wanting to be part of KL? Hm... probably the friends that are working in KL, the thought of getting more exposure and.... what every parents want... to meet my life partner (don't understand why they think I will get one by just working in KL... sigh... PARENTS!).

Don't get me wrong... I’m not complaining life in KL isn’t good. I've got to know some interesting people at my workplace. Some are not just colleagues, they are friends as well. The exciting things that I do with relatives, colleagues and friends.

Can you imagine... me staying back after work.... I would never do that in my previous job.... 4.30 p.m. on the dot, I would be out of the office. Here... I would rather stay in the office... to work... yes... hm… partly it's the time I have with my colleagues.

Be Still My Soul

On my way to work today, I was listening to this song, Be Still My Soul by Don Moen, God reminded me of his promise.

The chorus,
Be still my child
I know your way
And I will guide
For My name's sake
Plunge in the river of My grace
Rest in the arms of My Embrace

I felt God's presence the whole day with me. I was pretty stressed with work and God constantly reminding me that He would be my guide and to rest in His arm.
